As its author says, "It's difficult to define it as a place, as it's merely a set of routes with no clear origin or destination. People don't experience it; they travel through it when they're forced to and have the strength to endure its harshness and roughness. Traversing it always had something of an adventure about it, and any event that occurs there serves to fuel the desire to remain there as little as possible. Every city, deep within its soul, has a corner like that. In this case, it's a square whose center is guarded by an army of pigeons and crowned by an eight-pointed star."
David Salcedo has photographed Barcelona's Plaza Cataluña for eight years, only to surprise us again with the creation of a book whose sequence never stops, just like the flow of people and animals in the emblematic epicenter of this great city.
