Photographer Ihei Kimura (1901-1974) left a significant mark on the history of Japanese photography. He was one of the first to discover the potential of compact cameras, which had just started to be put to practical use in the early Showa period, and He established his reputation as a "Leica master." This book is a comprehensive look at the photographer's work, including portraits of literary figures, snapshots of everyday scenes in downtown Tokyo, and his masterpiece "Rural Akita" series from his later years, as well as new color works taken in Paris. It is a retrospective of the photographer Kimura Ihei through his many representative works.
