Go out into the street and observe the labyrinth, the traces, the pieces that appear and disappear. Look closely at the puzzle through the viewfinder and observe the transitions, try to capture the moments, the reflections, the footprints that vanished at some point.

Go out into the street and walk among the shadows and words and imagine what was or could have been, slowly, like an image revealing itself before our eyes. Live that time outside the world, as Sergio Chejfec said, that time outside of any place, that necessary blink, that inner journey that poetry and photography offer us.

In this work, I immerse myself in that metaphor to construct a silent map of any place, of nowhere. A map of encounters and missed connections, of entrances and exits, of gazes and mirrors, of contours and reverses, of absences. A cartography of the strange that allows me to trace those essential paths to better understand the world, to better understand oneself. A meticulous study of the city, as a stage, as a point of reference for discovering the beauty and complexity of the world around us.

Ultimately, "Time Out of Place" is a pause, but also an impulse, a heartbeat. It is looking through the complexity of the senses and imagining from a poetic perspective. It is word, question, space and time, light-sensitive material that transports us. And, as Llorenç Raich says, photography is the dreamlike representation of seeing and possesses the capacity to explain the ineffable. For me, dreams and photography are that necessary mirror in which to see oneself pierced by light.
