THIS IS OUR STORY

It all began in 2022, where after a year of turbulence and changes in our lives, we launched into selling photobooks online.

 

To be honest, our idea was never to open a retail business. But the closure of the legendary photography bookstore Kowasa, had left collectors and photography lovers without a reference point in Barcelona.

Without listening to anyone, on St. George's Day we legally founded Dartbooks, and in September 2023 we opened Dartbooks at its location in Barcelona's Gracia neighborhood.

Time has passed really fast, and the feeling has been like riding a roller coaster.

Nowadays we stock the shelves of collectors from all over the world. We have presented the first photobooks of friends in our bookstore.

We've been visited by great photographers such as Todd Hido, Albarrán Cabrera, Txema Salvans, Hans-Olav Forsang, Emiliano Zuñiga, Rafa Badia, Pilar Silvestre, Massimo Leardini, Lisa Barlow, and Marjolein Martinot, among others.

 

What does the future hold ? Who knows ? Maybe we'll get into photobook publishing or distribution... The best is yet to come...
