This book is a supplement to the May 1987 issue of Photo Age magazine, presenting Nobuyoshi Araki's Tokyo diary, 1981–1995, as a photographic collection. Photo Age was shaped principally by editor Akira Suei and photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. Earlier supplements devoted to Araki include Live Nobuyoshi Araki: 2nd Anniversary Special Issue (1983), Scenic View 1981–1984 (1985) and Araki's Tokyo Colour Diary (1986).
In this diary, Araki manipulates the camera's date setting, replacing the “present” with the “future”. The volume concludes with “The Emperor's Law”, a text by playwright and monk Kiyofumi Uesugi.
