Walter Van Beirendonck, a graduate of Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts, was known as a member of the Antwerp Six and gained prominence during the 1980s for his bold graphics, innovative cuts and irreverent approach to fashion. Mutilate is the designer's artist's book and monograph, documenting material from more than a decade of collections. With a DayGlo cover, the spiral-bound book features fold-out plates, embossing and die-cuts, alongside photographs by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Carel Fonteyne and Juergen Teller, among others.
