Hans-Olav Forsang (Ankenes, Norway, 1955) studied photography in England and Sweden and worked for many years as a full-time photographer, and later picture editor, for the Oslo newspaper Verdens Gang, which frequently sent him on international assignments. Forsang has received numerous awards for his work, a selection of which was published in book form in 1997.
