Originally published in 1961, this reissue was highly anticipated in conjunction with the 2006 solo exhibition "The World of Eikoh Hosoe" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
 
Amid the turmoil of protests against the US-Japan Peace Treaty, a photographer and his subjects clash, and from these unusual circumstances, a previously unseen photographic style is born.
 
These images would become not only the prototype of Hosoe's work, but also one of the prototypes of photographic expression.
