A journey through the universe of Chema Madoz. The first survey of the work of one of the most renowned, personal, and evocative photographers. From his earliest photographs to his most recent, a deep and exhaustive analysis through more than 450 images of his work.

In his photographs, objects are altered, blended without violence, and seem to float or belong to places outside of time and reality. Photography becomes a way of creating language, poetry, from fragile, familiar, and surprising images. Evocative images that alter our perception and open up to the multiple meanings found by the viewer.

In addition to reproducing more than 450 works of the highest quality, the book contains a complete illustrated chronology that will help us understand the figure of this photographer. References are made to personal moments, tastes and influences, artistic career, commissions, exhibitions, and national and international recognition.

The book is completed with texts by North American photographer Duane Michals, critic Christian Caujolle, art historian Estrella de Diego, curator Oliva María Rubio, and Alberto Anaut, director of La Fábrica Editorial.
