With Tokyo Compression, Michael Wolf struck a chord. His portraits of commuters on the Tokyo subway, confined between glass, steel and their fellow passengers, have won numerous awards and appeared in exhibitions worldwide. The first edition sold out within weeks. The subject continued to haunt Michael Wolf, too. He returned to Tokyo to immerse himself once more in the underground madness, this time even more deeply. Tokyo Compression Revisited is a completely revised second edition, featuring many previously unpublished images and an entirely new “hidden track” at the end of the book.
