Transmontanus, a Latin term meaning “beyond the mountains”, alludes to the wind from the Pyrenees that characterises the Catalan region of Empordà, defining its identity while bringing change and erosion. Transmontanus is both a diary and a journey back to a landscape we knew as children. The publication describes a rediscovery: returning to that landscape and seeing it from a perspective forever changed by time, recognising that neither we nor our landscapes will ever be the same again.
