Set amid the extreme heat and sprawling concrete of Tucson, Arizona, Dogbreath is a photobook that profiles a series of restless teenagers as they navigate a fraught and changing world. Through photographs of urban decay, sun-faded neighborhoods, mosh pit scenes, and punk youth alongside their feral dog counterparts, the book paints a sympathetic view of teens adrift in the remnants of their adolescence. Interspersed with elliptical texts about a mysterious boy named Dove, who discusses underground pagans, scrap metal salvaging, and gold-digging, Dogbreath presents an enigmatic and psychologically engaging portrait of youth on the edge.
