October 29 was a Saturday like any other for me. As usual, I put my camera in my jacket pocket that morning and walked to the café near the park at Ikebukuro Station's west exit for a coffee, taking the occasional photograph as I strolled through familiar surroundings.

As I sat there absent-mindedly sipping my coffee, an idea I had never had before suddenly crossed my mind: to fill an issue of Record exclusively with photographs taken on that particular day. I had long boasted that I needed only a single day to gather enough material for an entire photobook, but in practice it had never been so easy. Since that was the plan I had hatched over coffee, however, I realised that this time I had no choice.
